The most noticeable changes in the annual over-all mercury emissions occur in NFR 2 for the years 1990 to 1994. In parallel, the entire times series for mercury from NFR 1 has been revised with major impact after 1994.

The rather significant changes in the 1990 National Total (+2.61 t | +8.1 %) are dominated by re-estimations in NFRs 2.C.1 (+1.84 t |+ 68.1 %) and 1.A.4.b i (+0.41 t | +43.9 %), accompanied by the further minimal revisions within NFR 1.
